About 2 km north-east of Hatzeva Junction, beside Nahal Gidron, Hatzeva

A desert khan with air-conditioned cabins and a camping ground in the open northern Arava, about two kilometres from Hatzeva Junction, run by Shvilim Bamidbar of Moshav Hatzeva.

Ras Hashita is a khan for sleeping in the desert, about two kilometres north-east of Hatzeva Junction and beside Nahal Gidron, at the mouth of a nature reserve. Its page says the open desert view and the quiet recall the beaches of Sinai. It takes families and groups: air-conditioned cabins for 8, 12 or 16, family cabins for up to five, and open ground for tents and caravans. There are many seating corners, places for campfires and barbecues, and a roofed central kitchen for guests to cook in, with gas burners and tables and chairs in the shade. Its site says the khan has a standard protected space and that a desert menu can be ordered for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It belongs to Shvilim Bamidbar, whose rooms are in Moshav Hatzeva about five kilometres away. The council's business board says the khan is open from October to June, every day of the week, Shabbat and holidays included.
