Az-Zanbaq, Isfiya

A Druze family restaurant and café in Isfiya with a large garden, serving Druze home cooking beside grills, seafood and pasta

Jasmine (Yasmin) is a restaurant and café in Isfiya with indoor seating and a large, tended garden, founded by Amani, a Druze woman, with the support of her husband Ismail. By its own story it began as a small kitchen behind the family home that sold sandwiches three days a week, took its name from the owners' eldest daughter, and grew into a restaurant open six days a week that hosts events of dozens of people. The menu mixes Druze home cooking, such as vine leaves, stuffed cabbage, manzaleh and kubbeh, with grilled meats, seafood and Italian and Asian dishes, and breakfast is served until 13:00. Its site says the baladi sumac is ground on the premises, the meats are smoked on site and it makes its own olive oil blend.
