Brown Jerusalem stands on a high hill, a few minutes from the city centre, and looks out from the walls of the Old City to the hills around Jerusalem. Its page puts the Israel Museum, Mount Herzl, Yad Vashem, the Rose Garden and the government quarter within walking distance, and calls it a choice for couples, families and groups. A half-Olympic swimming pool, ringed by greenery, is open in the summer months. The hall for conferences and family events holds up to 700 people, and the dining room serves the hotel's meals. Bus line 28 stops at its door, and guests may park in its underground car park when there is space. One line of the page still calls it by an older name, the Shalom Hotel.
