MeatShos was founded in 2006 by Hagai and Shifi, after years of work in meat and outdoor grill events, as an industrial-style restaurant tied directly to the herds and cattlemen of the Golan Heights, beside a butchery that had opened years earlier. By its site's account, every cut starts with calves chosen on the Golan, is broken down, cut and aged in a dedicated ageing room in its small butchery, and ends on the grill; the kitchen makes its own hamburgers and chorizo too. Next to the restaurant are a meat deli that sells cuts and kitchen accessories to take home, and the Selukia winery and distillery, which makes wine as well as brandy, gin, arak and grappa. Its earlier branch in Sde Eliezer is no longer open, and its site recommends booking a table ahead.
