Alabama was born in Netanya in 2007 and its site says it grew from a small restaurant into a smokehouse that smokes slowly over live fire. The heart of the menu is a tasting meal for two or more: a long-smoked bean stew, pickled cabbage and green salad that are refilled through the meal, then smoked picanha with house mustard, asado on the bone, seared sirloin with chimichurri and a butcher's cut, about 500 grams of meat a diner, served to the middle of the table with dessert and a hot drink. Single cuts come with a campfire potato and the house sides. Guests may bring a bottle from home or order from the wine and cocktail lists. It opens in the evening from Monday to Thursday, on Friday and from 13:00 on Saturday, takes bookings, and hosts private events of up to 50 people.
