Moshav Ramot Naftali, Ramot Naftali

A family estate winery in Moshav Ramot Naftali that makes its wines from its own vineyards in the Kadesh Valley and pours them in a small cellar by appointment

Amram Winery is a family estate winery in Moshav Ramot Naftali in the Upper Galilee, run by Amram Azoulay and his eldest son Ohad. Amram came to the vineyards in the 1950s as a young settler sent to work the orchards and vines of Kibbutz HaSolelim; he and Shoshi later settled in Ramot Naftali, began making wine at home in small quantities in 1993, and after a fifth place in an amateur winemakers' competition in 1998 started making boutique wines every year. Ohad joined in the 2000s after studying winemaking and became a full partner. The family's vineyards on the eastern ridge of the Kadesh Valley grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec, and the wines include Full Moon, Nevuah, Bereshit, Azuport, Naftali Mountains and Naftali Mountains White; its site says Full Moon Premium 2016 won a gold medal at Terravino 2025. Visits to the cellar are by appointment only, with no minimum number of guests, and it also makes a personal barrel to order: the customer chooses the blend, the style and the ageing with the winemaker and receives about 300 bottles under their own label.
