A family boutique winery among the lanes and galleries of Safed's Old City, with its own vineyard facing Mount Meron

The winery is a garage winery in the Bordeaux manner, in the heart of the Old City: the small plant and the visitor centre are one place, so visitors stand beside the fermentation tanks and the wooden press. Moshe Alon came to wine from the diamond trade and has made it since 1995, and in recent years the family's second generation does the work from the harvest to the labels. The grapes come from the Meron, Dalton and Safsufa area, and in 2007 the family planted a vineyard of its own at Ramat Kiyumi, 830 metres up beside Kadita: mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Gewurztraminer and Viognier. Its reserve Cabernets age for 32 to 38 months in oak barrels inside an old water cistern. The wines are sold only at the visitor centre and in the shop on its site.
