A desert farm by the Nahal Boker bus stop, a few kilometres north of Sde Boker, with air-conditioned tipi tents, a few huts and suites and a campground.
Desert Olive Farm puts guests up in several ways around what it calls an Indian village: air-conditioned tipis and rectangular tents set well apart, each with its own shade hut, fire circle and, in summer, a private dipping pool. Away from the tents stand the African hut, an ecological hut for a couple or a small family with a pool beside it that is heated in winter; the castle suite at the far side of the farm, with a hot tub on a balcony facing the Boker ridge; two two-storey caravans it calls Zimmer-vans; and a 100 square metre hut for groups of 15 to 20. A campground among the trees takes guests with their own tents, and their dogs. Reflexology and shiatsu treatments can be added, outdoors or in the unit, and the site lists places to eat, wineries, jeep and bicycle tours and hiking routes nearby. Buses from Beersheba and Mitzpe Ramon stop at Nahal Boker, by the farm.

Air-conditioned tipis set apart from one another, with soft mattresses, a mat, lighting and USB sockets. Each has its own shade hut, fire circle, hammock, barbecue and saj, a private dipping pool in summer and its own toilet cubicle at a central point; the showers are in open bamboo enclosures under the sky, with hot water round the clock.

The African hut

A secluded suite at the far side of the farm, facing the Boker ridge, in two air-conditioned spaces: a living area with an equipped kitchenette and a bedroom with a double bed, plus a futon corner for up to three more. The large balcony has a private hot tub, a sunbed and a small pool.
