It began as a modest stall in the corner of a shopping centre, grew with the city's food tours and has since moved to a larger, roomier place. Visitors on the tours come for a tasting tray that includes a burika and a fricassee, and a mini fricassee was created specially for the tours; locals come for an omelette sandwich and couscous. Mako's writer singled out the service as among the friendliest there is. The line on its ordering site is "food with the taste of the old days".
