A wine bar in an old Templer building below ground in Sarona, where guests pour their own glasses from 32 wines on tap, with cheeses and small fish dishes

Tasting Room is a wine bar below ground in an old Templer building in the Sarona compound. Guests take a magnetic card, pick a glass from the racks and pour for themselves from automatic machines that keep 32 opened wines from oxidising, as a taste, half a glass or a full glass; more than 400 kosher wines from over 30 Israeli and foreign wineries can be ordered by the bottle, and a sommelier helps choose. Its site says the food is kosher: cheese platters, bruschettas and light fish dishes made for sharing. It holds wine workshops and events, with room for 70 standing or 50 seated and a VIP room for 14.
