Its website says Cardinal began in 2003 as the idea of Eli Trab, a young chocolatier from Haifa, who built a name around English toffee and chose Valrhona chocolate as his only raw material, and that the first Cardinal opened in 2006 near Rabin Square. The online shop lists pralines, packaging and gifts, chocolate sheets and bars, criollo and marzipan, cocoa powder, gianduja and dragees, and liqueurs.
