Jo Shtibel is a boutique hotel on Shtibel Street in the Montefiore neighbourhood, within walking distance of Yehudit Boulevard, the Azrieli towers and Sarona; its site puts HaShalom railway station about a kilometre and a half away. The name recalls the Shtibel publishing house, a chapter in the history of Hebrew printing, and the design mixes a young, current style with touches of early twentieth-century Europe. About 60 rooms come in six kinds, most with a private balcony. On the roof is an infinity pool open from 11:00 to 17:30, and the building also holds a lobby bar and a chef's restaurant, a business lounge, a meeting room and an events space. Its site calls it a green hotel, with solar water heating and large refillable bottles.
