A Japanese ramen bar and izakaya on Nahalat Binyamin Street, with a chef brought from Tokyo

Mententen is a Japanese restaurant and izakaya, and its site says its products are imported from Japan, the chef included, and that it makes its own soy sauce. Its ramen came after a long search across Japan that ended at a small ramen shop on the edge of Shinjuku in Tokyo, owned by chef Makoto Okazaki, a former architect and a third generation of ramen cooks, who was asked to come to Tel Aviv. Beside the ramen it serves izakaya dishes and sushi. A private room with traditional low seating holds 8 to 20 guests for a set menu, with karaoke.
