Chef Ophir Gutman's tandoor street-food kitchen on Yehuda HaLevi Street, serving naan wraps and salad bowls at lunchtime

Saône Rhône is a small street-food restaurant at 44 Yehuda HaLevi Street built around a tandoor oven of clay coated in copper, which works at 400 to 500 degrees. Its site says chef Ophir Gutman fell in love with street food and the tandoor while studying at the Paul Bocuse culinary school in Lyon, between the Saône and Rhône rivers, and on her return opened the restaurant with her older brother Rotem. Diners choose a chicken, kebab, fish, tofu or short-rib dish and have it rolled into a naan straight from the tandoor, served in a salad bowl or on a pumpkin stew; nothing is fried and everything is made on the spot. It serves lunch from Sunday to Friday, and the chain has a second branch at Azrieli.
