Europa is a boutique hotel in the heart of Tiberias, in a building founded in 1917 as a luxury hotel, one of the first built outside the walls of the old city. The Oved family bought it in 1930 and kept it until it closed in 1939; it later housed British army offices and fighting positions in the War of Independence, and Zohar Oved, a descendant of the family, rebuilt it from the foundations, restoring its Ottoman and Mandate details. Its corridors are hung with oil paintings of the Galilee and the lake by the family's father, beside antique furniture, painted floors and old objects, and the entrance courtyard has fruit trees and a restored wishing well. It has 31 rooms and, in Beit Europa, 17 apartments of three to five rooms, with a swimming pool with full separation, an active synagogue and full Shabbat services; meals are full board and mehadrin kosher, in a chef's restaurant of the Bikurim group (MASSO).

The special charm of the hotel rooms, following the restoration of the history, was a supreme value, and so they are entirely different from the rooms of any classic hotel.
