Galei Kinneret was founded in 1946 by Lotte Eisenberg as one of the country's first luxury hotels, and its page says prime ministers and leaders stayed there over the years; it has been renovated in recent years. The hotel opens straight onto a private beach on the Sea of Galilee, with a pool facing the water that the page calls the Roman pool, a heated indoor pool and a private beach bar. The Galei spa has rest areas, a dry sauna, a hammam and treatment rooms. Lotte, the restaurant, also takes diners who are not staying, from Sunday to Thursday by booking. There are a gym, meeting rooms and a conference hall, and a new suite with a private pool and its own way down to the lake. The hotel takes guests aged 12 and over.
