He joined the Hakoah Ramat Gan youth team in 1984 and moved up to its senior side, then in the third division, in the 1989/1990 season. He played there mostly as a striker.
In 1990 he moved to Maccabi Haifa and made his debut on October 6, 1990, against Hapoel Tel Aviv. Over time he became a defender, mostly at center back or right back, and won the league with the club in 1991 and 1994 and the State Cup in 1991, 1993 and 1995. After a thigh injury and a dispute with coach Giora Spiegel, he left for Beitar Jerusalem before the 1997/1998 season and won the league there.
He returned to Maccabi Haifa, where he set the club record of 498 league appearances and reached the UEFA Champions League group stage 2 times. He made 89 appearances for the Israel national team.
