Ben Saraf

Ben Saraf was born in 2006 in Johannesburg

Saraf was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Israeli parents while his father worked in the diamond industry. The family moved back to Israel when he was three, and he grew up in Moshav Gan Yoshiya in the Emek Hefer Regional Council. His father Yedid played one season for Bnei Herzliya, and his mother Ella played for Israel's women's national teams.

He attended Ramot Yam Emek Hefer high school and came up through the youth program of Hapoel Emek Hefer. At 16 he turned professional with Elitzur Netanya in the second division National League. In April 2023 he was named the league's Sixth Player of the Season and Rookie of the Year.

In July 2023 he joined Ironi Kiryat Ata of the Premier League and was named the league's Rising Star. In June 2024 he signed with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany, which reached the Bundesliga finals and lost to Bayern Munich.

The Brooklyn Nets drafted him in 2025 alongside Danny Wolf, the first time one team picked two Israeli players in the same draft. He also played for the Long Island Nets in the G League. With Israel's youth teams he led the scoring at the 2022 U16 and 2024 U18 European Championships and was named MVP in 2024.
