Ephraim Kramer

Ephraim Kramer is an Israeli businessman who owns and chairs the travel company Eshet Tours and the hotel company Kerem Hotel Management.

Ephraim Kramer was born in 1953 in Jerusalem

Ephraim Kramer was born in Jerusalem on December 2, 1953. His mother Esther was a social worker for the Jerusalem municipality, and his father Shalom was a literary scholar and critic who lectured at the Beit HaKerem seminary. He grew up in the Talbiya neighborhood and finished the Hebrew Gymnasium Rehavia in 1971.

From 1972 to 1975 he served in Unit 8200 of the Intelligence Corps. He then studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, earning a bachelor's degree in economics in 1977 and an MBA in 1981.

From 1977 to 1985 he worked in the Budget Department of the Finance Ministry, ending as deputy budget director for defense. In that role he was responsible for a cut to the defense budget in 1985. He then served as finance director of Ashot Ashkelon until 1990, and headed its marketing arm in New York from 1990 to 1993.

After returning to Israel in 1994 he moved to the private sector. He became CEO of Eshet Tours and later bought the company. With his partner Gadi Priver he founded Kerem Hotel Management, which in January 2024 opened a hotel in Podgorica, Montenegro.

He has sat on several boards, including Israel Aerospace Industries. He is married to Tova and has 3 sons. He lives in Tel Aviv.
