Guy Podjarny was born in 1979 to a family of Argentine origin. His father, Dr. Eduardo Podjarny, is a nephrologist, and his mother, Perla Podjarny, is a psychologist.
He served in Unit 8200 of the Intelligence Corps, working in cyber.
In 2002 he joined the startup Sanctum as a software developer. After acquisitions by Watchfire and IBM, he left in 2010 to found Blaze.io, which he sold to Akamai in 2012. At Akamai he served as a CTO for web performance.
In 2015 he co-founded Snyk with Assaf Hefetz and Danny Grander, and led it as CEO until 2019. He then became president and chairman. In 2024 he left its board and founded Tessl in London.
He is an angel investor and holds 15 patents. He lives in London with his wife, Dr. Gal Podjarny, and in 2021 the couple set up the Disrupt fund for social change groups.
