Ronnie Tepper was born in 1950 in Rishon LeZion
Tepper was born in 1950 in Rishon LeZion and grew up there. His father, Zeev, was a citrus grower and beekeeper from one of the families that founded the town. His mother, Hana, was born in Satu Mare.
He served in the Israeli Air Force as a fighter pilot in a Skyhawk squadron and fought in the Yom Kippur War. He founded and ran an academic ultrasound school from 1996 to 2021 and chaired the Israeli society for obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound from 2010 to 2013. In 2007 he founded Simultek, the medical simulation center of Clalit Health Services. He wrote about 186 scientific papers and is listed as inventor of about 46 patents.
