Rotem Sela was born in 1983 in Kiryat Chaim

Sela was born in 1983 and grew up in Kiryat Haim, Haifa. Her mother Liora was a teacher and her father Avraham ran a medical equipment company. Her family moved to Caesarea when she was 17.

She started modeling at 15 after agent Roberto Ben Shoshan signed her. She served in the Israeli Navy as a clerk. In 2011 she earned a degree in law and business administration from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya and later passed the bar.

In 2013 she took the lead role of Noa Hollander in Beauty and the Baker, opposite Aviv Alush. From 2014 she co-hosted Rising Star with Assi Azar. She later appeared in The Psychologist, Autonomies and the surrogacy drama A Body That Works, which won her a Best Actress award at Series Mania.

In 2025 she acted in the film Soda, co-created the Netflix series Off Road with Lior Raz, and starred in Red Alert. She married businessman Ariel Rotter in 2010 and they have 3 children.
