Tali Fahima was born in 1976 in Kiryat Gat

Fahima was born in Kiryat Gat to a family of Algerian Jewish origin. She was one of three daughters of Sarah Lahiani and Shimon Fahima. After her parents divorced, her mother raised the girls.

She studied at the Hadassim, Rogozin and Shalon schools. She served in the IDF as a clerk. She then moved to Tel Aviv and worked as a secretary in a law office.

Until 2003 she supported Likud. After reading an interview with Zubeidi, she contacted him and in May 2004 visited Jenin, where she later returned several times. She said she would act as a human shield for him.

She was arrested in August 2004 and held in administrative detention, then indicted in December 2004. In a plea deal she admitted translating a classified military document and was convicted of lesser charges, including contact with a foreign agent. The more serious charges were dropped, and she received a 3-year sentence.

She was released in January 2007 for good conduct. She lives in Ar'ara and works as a Hebrew teacher. In June 2010 she converted to Islam at a mosque in Umm al-Fahm.
