Udi Davidi was born on April 25, 1975, in Tel Aviv and grew up in Kedumim. He was drawn to music at a young age and showed a talent for drumming. He studied at Yeshivat Nehalim, and at 15 he met his future wife Lilach through Bnei Akiva.

After high school he spent a year at the Ateret Cohanim pre-military academy. He then enlisted in Sayeret Matkal.

His first album came out in 2004, and six more followed by 2015. His 2009 album brought his music to a wider public, and a 2011 album included a duet with Shlomi Shabat. His songs deal with the bond between God and man and draw on the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.

In 2012 he began a weekly column in the magazine Motzash and left it about 2 years later. In 2018 he took part in the reality series 6 Avot on Reshet 13. He lives with his family on a farm in Ma'on, where he raises sheep and writes music.
