Yotam Sigler was born in 1978

Yotam Sigler was born in 1978 and grew up in Moshav Paran in the Arava. His parents were farmers. He is married and has 4 children.

He holds a bachelor's degree in plant sciences in agriculture from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He also earned a master's degree in political science from the University of Haifa and the National Security College.

He joined the IDF in 1997 and completed flight school as a fighter pilot. He flew Skyhawk and then F-16 aircraft, taught at the flight school and served in several F-16 squadrons. He later commanded the advanced fighter squadron of the flight school and then Squadron 116.

In 2014 he was chosen to lead the setup of the air force's first F-35 Adir squadron, and he commanded Squadron 140 from 2015 to 2018. He then headed air defense and collection in the Air Operations Division. He commanded Ramon base from 2020 and Nevatim base from July 2023 to July 2025, a period that included the Iron Swords War and Operation Rising Lion.
