1. הגדרות
בחוק זה –
”גן בוטני“ – גן נטוע צמחים שונים לפי שיטה מדעית מסוימת ולמטרה מחקרית, מדעית או חינוכית;
”גן בוטני מוכר“ – גן בוטני אשר השר הכיר בו בהתאם להוראות סעיף 2;
”האקדמיה הלאומית הישראלית למדעים“ – כמשמעותה בחוק האקדמיה הלאומית הישראלית למדעים, התשכ״א–1961;
”המנהל“ – המנהל הכללי של משרד החקלאות ופיתוח הכפר;
”המועצה“ – המועצה לגנים בוטניים שמונתה לפי הוראות סעיף 4;
”חוק יסודות התקציב“ – חוק יסודות התקציב, התשמ״ה–1985;
”השר“ – שר החקלאות ופיתוח הכפר.
