בהתאם לפקודת פקידי ממשלה (שנוי תוארים), 1940: יראו כאילו ”שר הדתות“ הוחלף ב”שר לעניני דתות“ (ק״ת תשמ״א, 1348); סמכויות השר לעניני דתות הועברו לראש הממשלה (י״פ תשס״ד, 1642) וממנו לשר לשירותי דת (י״פ תשע״ג, 5336).
1. הסמכה להתקין תקנות
תיקון: תשפ״ג
(א)שר המשפטים ושר הדתות רשאים, באישור ועדת הפנים והגנת הסביבה של הכנסת, להתקין תקנות לענין עסקאות במקרקעין לשם קיום מצוות שמיטה, שיחולו על אף האמור בחוק המקרקעין, תשכ״ט–1969, או בכל דין אחר.
(ב)תקנות לפי חוק זה הנוגעות למסים יותקנו בהסכמת שר האוצר.
פורסמו תקנות עסקאות במקרקעין (קיום מצוות שמיטה), תשל״ט–1979.
נתקבל בכנסת ביום ח׳ באב תשל״ט (1 באוגוסט 1979).
