8. פטור ממינוי מנהל ביטחון
מפקד יחידת המשטרה שבתחומה נערך אירוע ספורט או קצין משטרה שהוא הסמיך לכך, רשאי, לבקשת אחראי לאירוע ספורט או מנהל אירוע ספורט, לפטור מחובת מינוי מנהל ביטחון לאירוע הספורט נושא הבקשה; ניתן פטור כאמור, ימלא מנהל אירוע הספורט את תפקידי מנהל הביטחון לפי סעיף 9, באותו אירוע ספורט.
