Avihu Landver became Avihu Pinhasov when he started a band in a Jaffa bar in 2012

Avihu Pinhasov is the stage name of Avihu Landver, who was born in 1982 and grew up in Kfar Shalem. In 2009 he released a first album under his own name, Bati Lashir, and in 2012 he founded the Rhythm Club with the producer and guitarist Mark Pinhasov, known as Markisio, whose surname he took for the stage.

The band started out in 2012 in a bar in Jaffa, and it mixes Mizrahi music, rock, Greek and Hasidic music and 1960s club music with humour and satire, in shows known for their energy and theatre. Its first album came out in 2015 and Yamim Yafim in 2017; the title song was the theme of the first season of the TV series Tagad, and in 2019 the band competed on HaKokhav HaBa.

He is also an actor: his first role was in the yes series Kvodo, he played a lead in Kan 11's comedy-drama Makom Sameach, written by Noa Koller, and he appeared in the thriller Retzach BeYam HaMelach on Keshet 12. In May 2026 he won the Israeli Television Academy award for best leading actor in a drama series, for Makom Sameach.
