Peer Tasi sang in Dead Sea hotels before he won the Israel Song Festival
Peer Tasi was born in 1984 and grew up in Pardes Hanna-Karkur. After his army service he joined the entertainment troupe of the Fattal hotel chain at the Dead Sea, became its artistic director and then the chain's house singer with a show of his own, and after about two years he left to work on a debut album. His first single, Ahavat Emet, came out in 2009.
In 2013 he won the Israel Song Festival with Tachzeri, which he wrote with Dudu Matana, released the debut album he had worked on for four years, and wrote three songs for Eyal Golan, among them Mitpalel and HaLev Al HaShulchan. In October 2014 came Derech HaShalom: the most played song on Israeli radio for five weeks running, three weeks at the top of the Galgalatz and Reshet Gimel weekly charts, and the ACUM song of the year.
In 2019 he left Sarit Productions and went independent, producing his own songs. In November 2022 he released Radio Shetach without warning, and it won the ACUM award for album of the year; Radio Shetach 2 (2024) was Galgalatz's album of the year, and Tasi its man of the year. Radio Shetach 3 followed in 2025, and in 2026 he recorded Halevai with Hanan Ben Ari and released Yaldei HaShetach, his first album of children's songs and his tenth studio album.
