Sarit Hadad was a teenage singer from Hadera when a manager heard her on a beach in Netanya

Sarit Hadad was born in Afula in 1978 and grew up in Hadera, where she played classical piano and taught herself the organ, guitar, accordion and darbuka. In 1994 the manager Avi Gueta heard her sing with the Hadera youth band on a beach in Netanya and offered her a recording contract.

Her first album, Nitzotz HaChayim, came out in 1995 and sold more than 80,000 copies.
