Ravid Plotnik went from a teenage hip-hop group in Petah Tikva to headlining Menora Mivtachim Arena

Ravid Plotnik was born in Petah Tikva in 1988. At 15 he founded the hip-hop group Produx with friends, and for years he performed as Nechi Nech, a nickname his childhood friends gave him from the Amharic word for white.

After Produx's only album in 2010, he went solo with Tsadik Ehad Be'Sdom in 2011. His 2015 album Bruchim Ha'Ba'im LePetah Tikva told the story of his youth in the city, and in 2017 Kol HaZman Haze, composed by Dudu Tassa, topped Galgalatz's annual chart.

In 2019 he put his own name on the cover for the first time, with Ve'Achshav La'Helek Ha'Omanuti. In January 2022 he became the first Israeli rapper to headline Menora Mivtachim Arena, and his seventh solo album, Ha'Derech Le'Shvil Ha'Zahav, came out in January 2025.
