Tomer Sharon went from the Nahal troupe and the Cameri's young company to Platfus and Timon
Tomer Sharon, known as Tomash, was born in Tel Aviv in 1970. As a teenager he was in the Tel Aviv Scouts troupe, he served in the Nahal army troupe, and at 21, without having studied acting, he was taken into Tze'irei HaCameri, the Cameri Theatre's company of young actors.
From 1994 to 1996 he was one of the young comedians of Platfus, the sketch and stand-up show on Educational Television, and from 1994 he gave Timon his Hebrew voice in The Lion King and in every sequel and series after it. He also voiced Mushu in Mulan, Flik in A Bug's Life and Mike Wazowski in Monsters, Inc., and was nominated for an Ophir Award for the film Tzomet Volkan (1999).
On stage he has acted at Habima, Beit Lessin and the Herzliya Ensemble, and won the Klachkin Prize in 2014. He released the albums Bluezer (2004) and Shirim LeBlanche (2013), and since 2020 has performed Tomash Sheba'al Peh, a stand-up show built on things that really happened to him; in 2024 he opened HaTomashiya, a tiny theatre in Jaffa that hosts plays, comedy and music.
