A boutique hotel of 14 suites spread through the alleys of Old Acre, with breakfast on the roof of its main building facing the sea wall
Akotika is run by Tamar and Meir, who by their own account fell for Old Acre and set out to let guests live inside an authentic neighbourhood while its residents share in what tourism brings. Its 14 suites lie along the alleys a few minutes' walk from the main building, each different, from a basalt rock turned into a bath to a heated plunge pool in a vaulted Ottoman room or a balcony over the sea. The main building holds the reception, a café and bar in the lobby and, 46 steps up, a rooftop restaurant facing the old wall and the Mediterranean, where an Acre and Galilee breakfast is served every morning; there is also a treatment room and a lounge for guests. The Western Galilee tourism site names the rooftop restaurant Liwa, with seasonal seafood and a bar facing the sunset. The hotel takes guests aged 16 and over.
