A veteran meat and fish restaurant with a wine bar, in a garden in Eilat's old Ye'elim neighbourhood, away from the hotels

Pedro is a meat restaurant that also serves fish and seafood and keeps a wine bar, in a garden of flowers, herbs and vegetables in Ye'elim, Eilat's old Neighbourhood A, away from the promenade and the hotels. Its site dates it to 1968 and calls it the first restaurant built in the city, and ynet wrote in 2017 that Eilat's old-timers say the town's first restaurant stood in the same building. Dror Harosh, who also owns Solo in Eilat, has owned it since 2018, by the restaurant's account on Rest. The kitchen ages its meat on the premises, and its menu of September 2026 runs from focaccia from the stone oven to pasta, seafood, Tournedos Rossini and steaks, with desserts made in house by Maya, its pastry chef. At the bar, chef Ori, who by the restaurant's account worked for ten years in New York at restaurants with two Michelin stars, cooks a menu that changes daily, for the bar only. The wine list holds 76 bottles from 18 Israeli wineries, priced, it says, more like a wine bar than a restaurant. On Mondays a butchers' night sells the cuts at about 35% below the menu prices, and on Wednesdays a fishermen's night serves Red Sea fish and seafood at about 30% below them, with bouzouki players; on both nights guests may bring their own wine without corkage. It takes private events of up to 80 guests. Yom Yom reported in December 2024 that Ontopo's booking data put it among the five most popular restaurants in Eilat, and mako wrote in May 2026 that it is the highest rated on easy.

Sources disagree on these hours

Its website gives Monday to Friday 18:00 to 23:00 and Saturday 14:00 to 23:00, and no hours on Sunday. Its booking page on Ontopo, which adds that it stays open until the last guest, and its Google listing, as Wanderlog copies it, give the same hours and mark Sunday closed. Rest, updated in August 2026, has it open from 16:30 on Sunday to Thursday, and d.co.il, the tourism site eilat.city, 2eat and Livo's guide of May 2026 also have it open on Sunday, from 16:30 or 17:00.
