Chef Tal Hershkovitz's kosher sandwich bar on Sderot HaTmarim, where chef's dishes come in bread baked on the premises
Omer's is the sandwich bar that chef Tal Hershkovitz opened on Sderot HaTmarim in 2015 and named after his eldest daughter. He had cooked in other restaurants for about twenty years, as chef of Sebastian in Herzliya and Edison in Ra'anana among others, and for four years as chef of Pedro in Eilat. What it calls chef's meals in a sandwich are dishes drawn from kitchens around the world, served in frena, challah or sourdough bread baked on the premises, or on a plate or in a pan, with sauces made by hand and more than five of them waiting on every table; there are vegetarian and vegan dishes too. The kitchen is kosher and meat, under the regular supervision of the Eilat rabbinate, and the restaurant closes on Friday and Saturday, as it has from the start. It began as a small place selling only sandwiches, at No. 83 on the same boulevard when Rest's magazine wrote about it in 2019; in April 2021 a food blog reported that a new, renovated Omer's was about to open at the foot of the Mister Soof apartment building, and by April 2022 Walla gave its address as No. 26, where its own site places it now. The room, designed by Yasmin Shoshani, takes its colours from the 1980s, and mako described a long wall of napkins on which customers have left messages over the years. In its 2026 guide mako singled out its meat sandwich, asado cooked for six hours in a ciabatta-challah bun invented for it and now sold at a bakery as "Omer's bread"; in 2022 Walla wrote that a free chair is hard to find there at lunchtime and that hundreds of deliveries leave its kitchen every day. It also holds chef's events and workshops for children, takes group orders and supplies meals to businesses.

Sources disagree on these hours
These are the hours on its own website, which says it is closed on Friday and Saturday. Its Google listing, as Wanderlog and its Tabit record copy it, and Wolt give the same, and so do d.co.il and 2eat for Sunday to Thursday, though d.co.il also tags it as open on Friday. eilat.city's English page gives 11:00 to 20:00 and the eilat-e directory 12:00 to 22:00. Its ordering page on Tabit, whose schedule was last changed in February 2024, takes orders until 18:00 from Sunday to Tuesday and until 21:00 on Wednesday and Thursday: those are ordering hours.
