A kosher Georgian bakery in Haifa Bay that bakes khachapuri in every shape, from a hand-folded penovani to a family achma

Maya's Khachapuri is a Georgian bakery at 12 Halutzei HaTa'asiya Street in Haifa Bay, by the Kiryat Ata junction. Its site presents it as the place where Georgian tradition and good ingredients come together into art from the oven. It bakes khachapuri in its several forms: penovani, an envelope of puff pastry folded by hand, megruli, a long rolled yeast dough, the open adjaruli, and family-size imeruli and achma, the last built from layers of handmade dough. Each comes with a choice of filling and is served with crushed tomato, a hot sauce and pickles, and there are sweet cigars of walnuts and honey. It opens Sunday to Friday and takes orders for collection and delivery.
