A kosher Italian bakery and café by day and a wine bar by night, in a small shopping centre by Reichman University, with pastries baked on the premises

Verde, written וורדה in its own Hebrew and Italian for green, is a kosher dairy bakery and café in a small shopping centre on Natan Alterman Street, in the north of Herzliya near Reichman University, that turns into a wine bar in the evening. It opened in September 2025. Behind it, as Herzliya's mynet and mako reported, are Itzik Lin and Moshe Ben David, entrepreneurs who live in Herzliya and own restaurants in Miami, and Avi Ezra, a chef-pâtissier who led Giorno for years. Chef and pizzaiolo Micha Tabor, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu and Lenôtre, created the menu, and pastry chef Raz Rosenfeld, of Mimi, Nono and Giorno, the pastries. The room is in green, brown and cream, with Verde marble, green ceramic tiles and Corten steel, and there is a terrace outside. Israel Hayom wrote in August 2026 that it changes its menu three times a day. Mornings start with a window of croissants, cinnabons in cinnamon, pistachio and Lotus, rugelach, danishes and focaccias baked on the premises, which changes with the week and the season and doubles on Friday, beside breakfast dishes and sandwiches; midday brings salads, pizzas and pastas; and in the evening the lights go down and it becomes an enoteca, pouring from a wall of 47 wines chosen by sommelier Talia Pinian, with cocktails and small plates to share. It is closed on Shabbat and opens again on Saturday night from 21:00. Its kashrut is the Herzliya rabbinate's, dairy, and it delivers through Wolt. Israel Hayom's review of August 2026, by Ophir Rabinovich, said almost everything is made from scratch on the premises and the portions are generous, and in December 2025 mako included it in its list of the best bakeries that opened that year.
