A Mediterranean meat restaurant in a listed building in Mishkenot Sha'ananim, with a terrace that looks out to the Old City walls and the Tower of David.

Touro is a Mediterranean meat restaurant at the foot of the historic windmill in Mishkenot Sha'ananim, with a terrace that looks out to the walls of the Old City and the Tower of David. Its site says it is named after Judah Touro, the American Jewish philanthropist who funded the building of Mishkenot Sha'ananim with Moses Montefiore, and that it stands in a listed building that once held Moshe Peer's restaurant, where mayor Teddy Kollek and his guests used to dine; the building also houses the Jerusalem Press Club. Chef Benny Ashkenazi's menu is Mediterranean with Asian influences, with dishes for vegetarians and vegans and Israeli wines. It hosts events of up to 120 guests and has a private room for up to 20.
