Dalton Industrial Park, Kfar Hoshen

The family winery of the Saida family of Moshav Safsufa (Kfar Hoshen), whose visitors' centre in the Dalton Industrial Park pours tastings beside a dairy kitchen

Lueria is the family winery of the Saida family of Moshav Safsufa (Kfar Hoshen). By its own account Yosef Saida, a farmer from a family of growers from Tunisia, planted its vineyards on the western slopes below Mount Meron, 840 to 890 metres above sea level, on about 300 dunams where basalt, terra rossa and limestone meet in a single plot, and the family winery was set up on them in 2006. Gidi Saida, a grower's son who studied winemaking after his army service, is its owner and runs it, and it makes 12 wines. Its visitors' centre in the Dalton Industrial Park, about four kilometres east of the moshav, offers a guided tour of the tank room, the barrel room and the bottling line that ends in a tasting, vineyard tours for groups of ten or more, and a kitchen serving Galilee breakfasts, salads, pizzas and cheese plates beside the wine. The family also runs two guest-house compounds in Safsufa, Miriam's Estate and The Edge.
