Kibbutz Merom Golan, Merom Golan

Kibbutz Merom Golan's holiday village at the foot of Mount Bental, with a covered heated pool, a kosher dining room and the kibbutz's horse ranch

The holiday village of Kibbutz Merom Golan, the first Jewish community founded on the Golan after the Six Day War, sits about 1,000 m above sea level at the foot of Mount Bental, and its site calls it the hotel in the volcano's crater. Its covered, heated pool, open all year, lies beside the rooms with a lawn of loungers, a toddlers' pool and a dry sauna. The kibbutz dining room, air-conditioned and seating about 300, serves kosher breakfasts, lunches and dinners to guests and groups under the Golan Heights rabbinate. The lobby's six-metre walls are done in a western style in wood and Golan basalt around a fireplace, and the halls beside it take conferences and events of up to 300. Around it on the kibbutz are the Habokrim restaurant, Norden, the Conpapa food truck, the LaPizzale bar, a shop of 25 Golan artists and the Havat HaBokrim horse ranch.
