An old-style kosher charcoal skewer house on HaShalhevet Street, which Mako's guide to Or Yehuda went to for its kebab.
Mako's guide to the town's restaurants, published in June 2025, describes Shipudei Hezi as a skewer house of the old kind, in the good sense: a counter of salads that are not the usual ones, a separate stand of pickles for free refills, a few tables and a charcoal grill, and regulars who seem to have eaten there for years. The menu on the wall, by the same piece, runs from spring chicken, entrecôte, hearts and chicken liver to veal sweetbreads, beef fillet and goose liver, served in a pita, in a laffa or on a plate. Its writer came for the kebab, having heard it was the best in town, and called it the king of kebabs. The Or Yehuda religious council lists it as a supervised restaurant.
