A family date farm in Moshav Paran that has grown Medjool dates since 1977 and sells them moist and frozen, straight from the grower.
Koren Farm was founded in Moshav Paran in 1977 by Miri and Avi Koren, and in 2017 Barak joined and carried the family farm on, by its own account. It grows Medjool dates and picks them while they are still moist rather than leaving them to dry on the tree, then packs and freezes them; its label says the fruit is unsprayed and untreated. The dates cost 43 shekels a kilogram, or 40 a kilogram from 4 kilograms up. They can be collected from the farm, farm 85 in the moshav, by arrangement, and the farm also supplies what it calls neighbourhood freezers, pickup points kept by people in towns such as Hadera, Herzliya, Hod Hasharon and Rishon LeZion. Orders are arranged by WhatsApp or by phone.
