A Bukharan restaurant on Weizmann Boulevard, named after the Fergana Valley in Uzbekistan
Ferghana takes its name from the Fergana region of Uzbekistan. When ynet visited in 2017 it found a Soviet world inside, where everyone spoke Russian and a Russian music channel played on a large screen all day, run by an older waitress and full at lunchtime. The menu it printed was Bukharan: manti, steamed meat dumplings in broth, at 8 shekels each; chebureki, fried pastries of minced beef and lamb fat, at 10; plov at 30; lamb soup and dushpara soup at 27 to 30 shekels; and meat from the grill.
