A restaurant in Rishon LeZion's new industrial zone cooking what it calls new Hebrew cuisine, from local produce and inspired by the Bible and Jerusalem, with chef Dudu Ben Abu in the kitchen

9 Cabin, which its website also writes out as תשעה קבין, is a restaurant at 8 Yaldei Teheran Street, in the Gigis complex in Rishon LeZion's new industrial zone. It calls itself a contemporary Hebrew restaurant and its cooking new Hebrew cuisine. Its name comes from the sages' saying in tractate Kiddushin, "ten measures of beauty came down to the world, Jerusalem took nine", and by its own account the kitchen uses local produce, draws on Jerusalem, the Bible and Hebrew history, and serves them in an up-to-date way, with lamb, beef, fish, vegetables, wine and spirits. mako's Lin Levi reported on 3 August 2026 that it had opened as a grand new chef restaurant, where chef Dudu Ben Abu cooks a menu based on biblical and Canaanite food in today's dishes, such as celery root gratin, leek consommé, prime rib and bone marrow, with an open kitchen, seats at the bar and a DJ booth. Ben Abu was previously the chef of Amaya, a kosher chef restaurant in Rehovot that opened in May 2025, where mako picked his rose bread as the city's dish in October 2025. Israel Hayom put 9 Cabin among the 26 promising restaurants that opened in 2026 and dated its opening to the end of August, and Debbest lists it as a kosher modern Israeli meat restaurant. It hosts private and business events in a main hall for up to 200 diners and in a private room for up to 30 with its own bar and chef's station. It opens from Sunday to Thursday at lunchtime and on Saturday an hour after Shabbat ends, and takes table bookings through Ontopo.
