Kedma is Isrotel's hotel at Kibbutz Sde Boker, within walking distance of David Ben-Gurion's desert home and on the route of the ancient Incense Road. Its site says the 163 rooms and suites are laid out like a Nabataean khan around a wide inner courtyard with a swimming pool, fruit trees and plants, with low seating corners beside the pool where a fire burns in season. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, with bread and pitta baked in a taboon and on a saj in front of the guests, and there are a pool bar, a lounge bar and a wine room that hosts workshops, talks and tastings, mostly of wines from the wineries and vineyards of the area. The spa has eight treatment rooms, a Turkish hammam and an indoor pool for water treatments. The hotel rents out bicycles for the marked trails around it, and guided jeep tours of the Zin valley and Makhtesh Ramon leave from its door.
