A family bakery in the centre of Sderot that has baked sourdough loaves by hand on the premises since the 1990s, with cakes, pastries and cookies.
Huri Bakery goes back to a bakery the Huri brothers founded in Netivot in 1985. Its site says they opened a small, hand-worked bakery in Sderot in 1991, under the name Pri Megadim, and that in 1999 one of the brothers, Amos Huri, took it over and it became Huri Quality Bakery. The bakery keeps a tradition of sourdough loaves shaped by hand and baked on the premises, and its catalogue runs from breads, challahs, pitas and frena through cakes, burekas and cookies to gluten-free and sugar-free lines, with sandwiches and salads made to order. The shop is opposite Bank Hapoalim.
