Tovale BaIr is run by Niv Kakon, who by its site's account has been with the restaurant for more than a decade and manages both the dining room and the kitchen. The menu is Italian in spirit and dairy throughout: pastas, salads, quiches, focaccias, toasts and pizzas, with pastries such as ziva, malawach and sambusak, and shakes, beer and alcohol beside them. An Israeli breakfast is served from 08:00 to 16:00, and the ciabatta for the sandwiches is baked on site each day. The same kitchen caters events with dairy buffets and party trays. It is open Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to 23:00 and on Saturday night from 19:30 to midnight, and it holds a mehadrin kosher certificate from the Sderot rabbinate.
