Amore Mio was opened more than 20 years ago by Susanna and Shlomi Salomon, who had come back to Israel some 30 years ago after living in Italy and first opened the Pizza Pazza restaurant. Susanna was born in Rome, and the two learned the trade in different parts of Italy. Its site says the food is made every day from fresh ingredients, some of them imported from Italy, and that the dishes come from the cooking of central and southern Italy. On a large wall hangs an old photograph, taken in Italy some 60 years ago, of Nonno Alberto, Susanna's great-grandfather. The kitchen works from noon until 23:00 and the restaurant stays open until 00:30.
