Ariel Karo was born in 1965

Ariel Karo was born in 1965. He studied at the military boarding school for command in Tel Aviv.

He joined the IDF in October 1983 and served as a fighter in the Armored Corps. After being wounded, he moved to the Intelligence Corps. He held intelligence posts in the Judea and Samaria Division, the Research Division and Central Command.

He later headed the campaign design department in the Operations Directorate and became Chief Field Intelligence Officer in 2007. In that role he worked to build combat intelligence collection as a professional body in the ground forces. From May 2009 to March 2013 he was Chief Intelligence Officer.

He graduated from the Command and Staff College and the National Security College. He holds a bachelor's degree from Tel Aviv University and a master's degree in political science from the University of Haifa.

After leaving the army he headed the intelligence and cyber directorate at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. In 2019 he became a senior vice president for business development and marketing there.
